Chief Scout’s Gold Presentation

On Thursday 21st July, 7 of our Scouts received their award formally at Hutton Police Headquarters. The event saw 35 Scouts from across West Lancashire receive the prestigious award. Harvey, one of our Scouts who has now moved up to Explorers was honoured with reading the ‘thought of the day’, to a lecture theatre packed full of parents.

We were joined at the ceremony by the Mayor of South Ribble, the Regional Commissioner for the North West of England and other dignitaries from West Lancashire Scouts.

The Chief Scout’s Gold Award is achieved when a Scout completes all of the the Challenge Awards, takes part in a number of camps and shows excellent leadership within the troop.

Well done to all of our Scouts who have worked hard to achieve this award!
